@Margo - Thanks for the comment and RT. TV 'News' is quite a sad story... more like reality TV!

@Sarah - What is MySpace? ;-). Also, exactly the reason McConaughey can go away - I don't think that dude even owns shirts, and I don't think he gets his hair cut either.

@Karla - Thanks! Agree on "I'm trying to wrap my mind around _____ " - add it to the list! As far as Tara Reid, hmmmm.... I'll plead the 5th as our opinions may differ.

@Kevin - Thanks for the comment! Punkrock HR is taking over the world.... one post at a time.

Totally cool post Jason! I want this economy to stay right here in 2009 because I want a better one next year. And, I would like to obliterate "I'm trying to wrap my mind around_____" unless you're Uri Geller. I would also like to leave corruption in Luzerne County in 2009 http://sn.im/tr0za but that's not realistic. Last but not least, do we care Tara Reid Poses for Playboy to Show Off Fixed Plastic Surgery?

Jason - Funny post! Personal branding could have been on there, along with authenticity and web 2.0 comments. Oh yea, anything to do with MySpace can just go away. Seriously.

@marenhogan shut your mouth - Matthew McConaughey is welcomed in 2010 so long as he never is anywhere besides shirtless on the cover of a magazine. Or playing football on a beach I am at.

Howl! This is laugh out loud funny and is sure to get the coveted @HRMargo best tweet of the day RT. Keep it coming. I also had the flu, not H1N1, but the nasty flu just the same. I wish it would stay in 2009 too. Let's make Balloon Boy's parents go on a media diet. They are such media hounds, and are too fat and nasty for my liking. Kate and Jon also need the media starvation diet, as does Tiger Woods. I think the best Christmas gift we could give them is media deprivation and obscurity. That's my vote.

You are one of my favorite tweeps. Keep rocking the posts.

@Steve - The phrase 'Personal Branding' itself belongs in #3. However - people that have figured out the power of developing a great reputation and network in their industry are a step ahead. Call it reputation, call it brand, call it being awesome - if you aren't doing it - you should be!

@Rich - Agree - News is all about the negative and/or celebrity gossip. Turn on the news in Boston - 4 shootings and Tiger is doing a Perkins waitress in a Church parking lot. That's news? I'll stick to reading blogs :-)

@Maren - Agree, let's leave the economy, including sinking house values and nervous employees in 2009. Winter isn't going away - that will necessitate a relocation :-). Ahhh McConaughey... one of the worst actors ever. Let's definitely leave him in 09!

Thanks for the comments!

Steve, personal branding is actually just "BEING AWESOME". I been saying it for years.

As for you, Jason Davis (that still makes me snicker) this is a great post. You know what can stay in 2009? This crappy economy for one, the freezing winter for two and Matthew McCounaghey for three. What is that guy wearing?

God, please just let the Tiger bullshit end.

If Tiger Woods had long hair, a beard, beat up sandals, and had a mother named Mary, then this would mean a lot more to me. I'm not even saying that I'm "For Tiger", I just don't care enough about the situation, and when it is all that's on TV i get very annoyed.

At least Balloon Boy was funny.

Great stuff - very funny. I would leave 'personal branding' in 2009 as well. I am getting a little tired of it. Can we just call it what it really is - reputation?
