My Cause

In 1980, Billy Starr set out with a group of 36 riders across 220 miles to raise $10,200 for the Jimmy Fund, which supports cancer research and care at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Starr told Dana-Farber that the checks would get bigger. Starr and his cyclists delivered. In 30 years, the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) has raised over $300 million to improve the lives of those suffering with cancer.
Cyclingagainstcancer.com chronicles our efforts to join in the fight against cancer. We rode in our first PMC in 2009, along side 5,000 other cyclists and 2,500 volunteers all with one mission: raise money for critical life-saving cancer research and treatment.
